Well kids, the rumours are true, and we’re not one bit mad about it!
Gemelli Italian – the GC’s much-loved Italian restaurant from hospitality brothers James, Paul, and Alex Carney – is set to take over the former site of Bucci restaurant and Lululemon on Brisbane’s prime real estate space on James Street in Fortitude Valley.

The 4006 locale is the first Brisbane site for the Carney brothers, who already have three successful eateries under the Gemelli name at Broadbeach, Nobby, and Sorrento.
While the venture is still in the development-phase, it is understood that the Lululemon space will replicate their Broadbeach restaurant and will serve up traditional wood-fired pizzas and homemade pasta dishes (allora!), while the former Bucci space will be transformed into a street-style speakeasy. Say hello to your new go-to for aperitivo hour!
