We’ve got your Brisbane foodie news and gossip covered.

Play catch-up with me every month as I give you a taste of what you’ve missed and what’s to come in Brisbane’s Food + Drink scene.

Whether you’re in for an impressive dinner, a quick bite to eat for lunch or a few drinks after work, The Croft House has the recipe for success.  The space that once occupied the Palettes is now a stylishly furnished restaurant, complete with dark wood, leather and brass detailing and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Trust me when I say the Ricotta Gnocchi is a menu-must-try!

This burger bar and microbrewery may have a fritzensimple menu but their frites, burgers and brews definitely pack a punch. In a revamped space large enough to withstand the crowds surrounding the “new burger joint” hype, Fritzenberger is set to be a Caxton Street favourite.

Racecourse Road has welcomed a vibrant new café with traditional Persian cuisine and a stylish patterned-tile fit-out created by The Design Firm. The Little Persian Café delights with a rich and zesty menu offering for breakfast and lunch.

Kokobana isn’t just your average superfood café; acai-d from a delicious selection of smoothies, fruit bowls and treats, they offer divine guilt-free burgers and pizzas. We can’t get enough of their avocado chips!

Following a stunning success in South Brisbane, Bird’s Nest Yakitori & Bar has opened the doors to its second venue in Fortitude Valley. Bird’s Nest expands the definition of Yakitori with a diverse range of options including grilled chicken tenderloins, pork belly with bocconcini and tomato, and shiitake mushroom with ponzu vinegar.

After keeping its location under wraps for what seemed like forever, we can finally reveal that Tomcat, Brisbane’s newest bar, has just opened on Level 1, 210 Brunswick Street (just above Prohibition). The bar features luxurious navy velvet booth seating and gold drinks tables that stand out on a backdrop of graffiti walls resembling a Melbourne alleyway. If this bar didn’t sound cool enough already, wait ’til you find the secret bar!
Clue: Look for Bill Murray and don’t turn back!

The authentic Italian favourites on Ristorante La Famiglia’s spring menu are designed to be shared and enjoyed with friends and family. The traditional menu promises to deliver and is complemented by a selection of regional Italian wines and limoncello.

It’s official! Your favourite burger joint has just opened its second location in the ’burbs! Calling Mitchelton’s Blackwood Street home, the new location boasts a large outdoor area and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving up all your Miss Kay’s faves.

Masterchef judge George Colombaris is set to open the sixth location of his successful Greek-style restaurant chain, Jimmy Grants, in Robina Town Centre at the end of the month. From souvas and salads to meat plates and street sweets, Colombaris’ first Queensland venue is set to have mouths watering.

Word on the street is the legends behind Hello Harry, Donut Boyz and 2 Birds will be bringing Junk (their Maroochydore Asian restaurant) to South Bank. Offering up mouth-watering Asian favourites such as Peking duck spring rolls, KFC (Korean friend chicken wings) and crispy pork belly, we cannot wait for another excuse to visit our favourite foodie hotspot. Keep an eye on our foodie news for updates!

Aria has wowed its customers (once again) with the launch of an innovative new spring menu. You’re definitely going to want to get in on these light and flavoursome dishes while they last!

Australia’s first Hello Chicken is a “fun Kombi van takeaway and eat-in concept” that has just opened in the King Street Precinct. The venue will serve up finger-lickin’ Korean-style chicken and is opening alongside Sushi & Nori.
