A restored industrial building, Factory 51 is a trendy bar and bistro located in the heart of Coorparoo; with a large retractable roof, you can truly have dinner under the stars. Chic interior design makes this the perfect venue for weddings, corporate functions and events. And make sure to try their DELICIOUS wood-fired pizza.
Get ready to put your Mexican hats on, amigos, because the team from Olé is opening up a tasty Mexican joint. Boasting a communal-style menu, guests are encouraged to experience fresh and zesty share plates. Their Mother of All Tacos is freaking amazing – you can choose from braised brisket, crispy pork belly and slow-cooked lamb shoulder!
This is American-inspired food at its finest. Dishing up some seriously good crab, ribs, burgers and (of course) beer, this Kangaroo Point establishment is a true delight. And if you’ve been looking for some crab without the hefty price tag, this is the place. Prepare the bibs, get your elbows on the table and dig in!
Meaning “yes, yes” in Korean, NeNe Chicken on Brisbane’s Elizabeth Street is putting a new twist on finger-lickin’ good. Selling all things – you guessed it – chicken, you can choose from delicious wings that are Freaking Hot (yes, that’s actually their name), garlic flavoured and many more. You can even wrap your mitts around a soft shell crap or chicken tenderloin wrap.
Our favourite brownie joint is branching out and moving to the city! Two places with delectable sweets? Ummm, yes please! They have a Golden Gaytime cake, people! I repeat: GOLDEN. GAYTIME. CAKE.
Finding a new home in West End, Lokal + Co is an eatery and bar with a Nordic influence. Plating up tasty modern dishes, this eatery prides itself on using local produce. Those with a sweet tooth can’t go past their gingerbread waffles with chocolate hazelnut sauce, whipped ricotta and crumbled honeycomb.
Our favourite vegan superfood bar has branched out and put down roots in Ashgrove. Located on Waterworks Road, Raw Squeeze offers delicious acai bowls, salads and towering mountains of Nice Cream (the salted caramel is AH-MAZING). Best of all, they serve the most incredible healthy sweet treats. If you are a Nutella fanatic, make sure you get their Raw-tella slice. It’s life-changing.
New to Brisbane, this café and bar is putting its own Brass Barrel twist on classic dishes. With a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, you can choose from dishes such as broccoli and corn fritters, crumbed fish with a snow pea tendril and Peking duck spring rolls.

For a show-stopping brunch delight, make sure you try their brioche with poached fig and pears, quark, raw honey, berries and rhubarb. It is seriously mouth-watering.
OK, if you call yourself a burger fanatic then you need to get your butt down to Hello Harry. These guys know how to put together a darn good burger and shake. Putting a gourmet twist on the classic burger, you can wrap your mitts around slow-cooked lamb, barramundi and crispy pork belly flavours. The drool is real right now.
You got me, this place is not exactly new, but it has undergone a massive refurbishment, so that counts for something. Located on Boundary Street in the city, the one-time tea warehouse has been transformed into a modern and inviting space. Your tastebuds will be working overtime to keep up with the flavour explosions. Their black cardamom beef topped with garlic puree and mustard braised lettuce is beyond delicious. And if the thought of meat makes you a little queasy, they even boast a full vegetarian menu, including labne and pickle walnut tortellini covered in zucchini, raisins and pine nuts. I’m drooling at the thought!
There is a new Greek restaurant in town! Atlanta Bar and Greek is here to offer Brisbanites a touch of Greece. Using sustainable and local products, Atlanata’s menu is available for lunch and dinner. If you want a true feast, try their Greek Feed: seven courses of traditional, delicious food. You just might need to be rolled out after!
