Attention all Fortitude Valley locals! A new neighbourhood café opened their doors yesterday and we’re itching to try it out. Located on Hynes Street, Dot Dash Café is your new neighbourhood local. Not only is this prime Lime scooting territory but they’re welcoming in each and every caffeine addict around town. Dot Dash café is all about the good vibes with hanging macramé and hand-designed wooden features scattered around the building. Co-owners Mike and Chris have been working tirelessly behind the scenes during the construction phase to pump out the best possible café as their first hospitality venture. With a history in making coffee, they’ve both moved on to running their own business with the tricks of the trade backing them.

Dot Dash café is all about a natural, open ambience. With indoor plants galore and a green feature wall, a welcoming space has undoubtedly been created. Renovated to let natural light stream in, it’s the textbook café for putting a dent in your newest novel or putting in those much-needed study-hours. We love that their wooden features were handmade by local designer Kaleb Lerch, incorporating broken hexagon shapes and sleek finishes.

Open from 6.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays, you can indulge in great coffee and delicious lunchtime bites like their classic cheeseburger with fresh spinach, house-made relish and mustard mayo on a brioche bun with shoestring fries. That’s a yes from us!
