Christmas time is all about wining and dining with your loved ones and this year Lutèce Bistro & Wine Bar offers Brisbane diners a festive Christmas Eve Dinner & Christmas lunch like never before. Guests will enjoy sweeping views over Mt Coot-tha from the comfort of the stunning restaurant and bar that is sure to delight. Lutèce is offering Christmas diners a three-course menu that includes dishes like duck foie gras, oven-roasted turkey with gratin and slow-cooked Glacier 51 Patagonian Sea Bass. Treasury Hotel | CBD

Want a cultural Christmas lunch without the tiresome travel? The Treasury Hotel is offering an international festive buffet this season. The exotic menu has dishes ranging from Asian fusion to the traditional Aussie BBQ (because while you might want to try something new, you don’t want to miss out on Australia’s customary Christmas feast). Full access to the buffet, as well as the included alcohol package, starts at $265 for adults, $195 for young adults (13-17 years), and $135 for children (5-12 years). Carolers, gifts for children up to 12, and a visit from the man in red are included in this extravagant Christmas Day event.

Sofitel Hotel | CBD

Feel like you’re running out of time to organise your Christmas lunch feast? Instead of stressing, book a table at Sofitel’s Thyme2 restaurant. Their famous Christmas Day luncheon is the perfect location for seafood lovers, as well as those of you after a relaxing festive experience. Not only does the lunch include a range of gourmet options, such as turkey and ham roasts, but live entertainment and free-flowing French sparkling wine as well. Prices start at $269 for adults, and $129 for children. Why spend the afternoon cleaning up after guests at home, when you can eat, drink and be merry?

Watt | New Farm

If you’re after lunch with a view for Christmas, then Watt is what you’re after. With riverside views, the opulent restaurant is the perfect location for your day. Enjoy impeccable service while you indulge in the four-course shared feast. Prices for the lunch start at $120 for adults and $50 for the kiddywinks. The Christmas lunch package is topped off with a drink on arrival and a visit from Santa himself.

Rydges Hotel | Southbank

Buffets seem to be the thing of the season, and the Rydges Hotel won’t disappoint. Offering the perfect family Christmas lunch celebration, their festive feast includes old favourites and new additions, from seafood to hand-rolled sushi. It’ll be difficult to get through all of the lunch options, let alone the varied selection of desserts. A three-hour beverage package is included with the lunch, as well as acoustic live music. Catering for everyone, the Rydges will also feature food stations such as popcorn and a fairy floss wheel to keep the young ones entertained. Ho, ho, ho into Christmas at the Rydges, prices start at $209 for adults, $109 for teens, and $79 for children.

Deer Duck Bistro | Auchenflower

Deer Duck Bistro has a classy menu on the cards for us this year, offering a five-course degustation lunch and complimentary wine on arrival. With the day catered for, from smoked ocean trout to a cherry bomb with meringue, there’s no excuse to leave your seat. If you’re after something a little extra, there’s the additional option of matching wines for a few dollars more. Starting at $125 per person, why not leave the dishes to someone else this Christmas?

The Sebel | Quay West

Indulge in bonbons, bubbles and glitz at Quay West’s McMahons restaurant for Christmas day. Featuring a glorious buffet lunch which includes a range of hot and cold dishes including locally sourced seafood. The only problem you’ll have is managing to fit it all in (this might be an occasion that calls for an elasticated waist!). The package includes selected wines and beers, and starts at $179 for adults, $129 for teenagers and $79 for children.

The Golden Ox is up to set a record with the extensive range of seafood offered in their Christmas lunch package, including king prawns from Mooloolaba and freshly shucked Pacific oysters. The seafood isn’t the only feature that has our mouths watering, with pork and apple sauce, as well as almond buttered green beans. Top off the festive day with the choice of plum pudding or pavlova. Prices start at $143 for adults, and $69 for children.

Mercure | CBD

The Mercure has a festive Christmas lunch that offers entertainment on all levels this year. With a day of all-inclusive live entertainment, as well as a visit for Santa to give gifts to the kids (how old do we have to be for Santa gifts again?). Their package includes a seafood buffet with all the usual favourites, as well as a 3-hour beverage package to get you through the day. Starting at $169 for adults, $69 for teens and $49 for children, it’s hard to pass up this glamorous location.

Pullman | CBD

For those of you looking for somewhere that offers a choice between the buffet and five-star dining, Pullman is the place for you this Christmas lunch. The Ballroom is featuring a seafood buffet, and the bistro isn’t following suit, with a table-service brunch of their own. For an additional fee, use this as an opportunity to stay at the hotel and make an evening of it. Whether you’re wanting to spend the day with family or friends, Pullman has the dining options to keep you sane this Christmas Day.

The Euro

Christmas is always a hard time for those of us who have special dietary requirements, but this year you need look no further. The Euro is featuring a 5-course lunch menu that caters not only those of you after their Christmas seafood fix, but also a separate vegan menu. Not only that, but they can tailor the menu for anyone after other dietary needs too. Say goodbye to difficult outings, and hello to the new and improved Tofurkey. Starting at $155 for adults, and $55 for children (containing a menu of their own), Christmas just got even easier.
