One of Brisbane’s much-loved riverside bars and restaurants, Byblos has had a makeover.

Having recently welcomed the addition of younger sisters Black Bird and Fifth Element, venue owners and brothers Adonis and Nheme Ghanem decided that after eight years it was time the old bird went in for a nip and tuck.

While the venue has always been known for its incredible Middle-Eastern inspired interiors, eats and drinks, the new revamp enhances Byblos’ exotic features.

The fitout adds plush leathers, oak timbers, smooth stone and luxe velvets to the mix, as well as an extended dining room suitable for 100 guests and a new lighting installation.

The food menu will continue to serve traditional Mediterranean recipes and culinary techniques with a contemporary twist, and while the cocktail menu has always had a reputation as one of Brisbane’s best, this has undergone a major overhaul as well, breaking their creative concoctions into sweet, sour and strong categories. The wine list will also feature some Aussie faves - but we reckon we’ll almost always reach for a cocktail at Byblos.
