After re-opening to the public back in 2014 after a major renovation, the Rooftop Garden at The Stock Exchange became (and still remains) one of the best spots in the city for lunch and to kick off the weekend the right way. If you haven’t already, the open-air rooftop terrace is definitely worth checking out.

Fitz + Potts | Nundah

Giving Northsiders a taste of what they’ve been missing out on in the city is Nundah’s kitschy rooftop bar Fitz + Potts. Described by themselves as “part dive bar, part beer garden”, this rooftop balcony/terrace-style venue is decked out in astro turf, retro-inspired décor and vintage furniture for the ultimate down-to-earth vibe. Providing the North Side with a selection of Australia’s best craft beers, wines and spirits, and a grazing menu complete with cheesy jaffles and vegan fare, it’s no surprise this rooftop bar is a firm favourite that many will travel for.

Elixir Rooftop Bar | Fortitude Valley

Once you make your way upstairs and in the doors of Elixir, you are treated to an oasis-style rooftop bar hidden from the hustle of Ann St (but still close to all the action). This hidden gem is a favourite for their insane selection of cocktails, lush greenery, and super cool decor. If you’re keen to channel super bliss summer vibes, sip on their Hemminway Daiquiri and savour their cheese board as you take in the sunset.

While you soak up the sunshine from their rooftop pool deck with a bottle of champers to share and live DJ’s providing the tunes, your guest will surely be impressed with how we live on the east coast. After all, in the Sunshine State we love our Sunday sessions with a big serve of vitamin D on the side.

Lennons Pool Terrace & Bar | Brisbane CBD

Towering over Brisbane CBD, Lennon’s is the uber chic rooftop bar atop of Next Hotel that feels like stepping into a Slim Aarons photograph. A (literal) breath of fresh air, Lennons is a tropical urban paradise that feels miles away from the bustling Queen St Mall below. With a brilliant blue lap pool, gorgeous outdoor décor, green leafy palms, and a refined drinks list that feels a little bit Hollywood, this is an ideal spot for a drink after work or a Sunday session with friends (sans 18-year olds).

Eagle’s Nest | Kangaroo Point
