How's the serenity?

The perfect companion to a bevvy is a good view – that’s why we’ve curated a list of Brisbane’s most picture-perfect bars.

Mr Percival’s | Brisbane City

Bringing the chic Eurpoean beach vibes to the Brisbane River, this over-water bar and restaurant is a must-do. Located at Howard Smith Wharves, Mr Pervical’s serves up summery cocktails alongside your favourite eats. The best seats are found on the outdoor deck, providing optimal river and city views from underneath the Story Bridge.

Riverland | Brisbane City

Featuring Brisbane’s 80ft bar, this iconic Eagle Street location captures views of the river, right down to the Story Bridge. Stocked with a range of beers, wines, spirits and a funky cocktail menu, your drinks are sorted. Seats line the edge of the balcony, so you’re likely to secure a riverside spot for the ideal ambience.

Maya Mexican | Fortitude Valley

Eleven Rooftop Bar has been reimagined, now going by the name of Maya Mexican and serving up a new range of exotic drinks and food for a limited time only. Panoramic views of Brisbane can now be enjoyed from a Caribbean-inspired setting, with a side of margheritas and tacos.

Regatta Hotel | Toowong

For a unique aspect of the river, travel round the bend to the Regatta Hotel. Amongst the hotel’s many dining and drink settings, The Courtyard Bar is particularly scenic. Offering views over the river and Coronation Drive, the outlook is particularly special around summertime, when the jacarandas are in bloom. Pair this with the chilled alfresco vibes of the Courtyard and relaxing sips are guaranteed!

Riverbar | Brisbane City

The perfect spot for a drink on a Sunday arvo, Riverbar is known for its outdoor beer garden setting. Situated on the river, you’ll be set for hours as you watch the CityCats zoom by, and gaze right down to the Story Bridge. A diverse menu of cocktails, beer, wine and spirits also adds to the appeal.

The Terrace Rooftop Bar | South Brisbane

As one of Brisbane’s best rooftop locations, The Terrace is the quintessential bar experience. Perched on top of South Bank’s Emporium Hotel, it’s impossible not to catch a stunning view everywhere you look. Massive glass panels encase the bar, so even if you’re inside ordering a cocktail or boutique wine, you can still catch the view.

Eagles Nest Brisbane | Kangaroo Point

Admire the river from a different angle at Eagles Nest Brisbane in Kangaroo Point. The rooftop location means you can have a drink under the stars, to the background of the Story Bridge and cityscape. An absolute staple when it comes to catching a sunset, the Eagles Nest serves up signature drinks and chilled music to curate the perfect afternoon.

Mary Mae’s Bar & Kitchen | New Farm

Take another bend ‘round the river and check out Mary Mae’s at New Farm. Located at the Powerhouse, you’ll be treated to views of the water and across to the hilly suburb of Hawthorne. Enjoy a locally brewed beer or classic beverage from the corner of New Farm, featuring iconic panoramic views of the river.
