And here’s what you need to know.

Have you heard the whispers? Brisbane is set to completely level-up its dining scene with the show-stopping addition of a lifestyle & dining precinct unlike we’ve seen yet. Encompassing an entire block of North Quay, the Brisbane Quarter development is a world-class mixed-use precinct that celebrates everything we love about Brisbane.

Included in the three-tower development is the Australian first W Brisbane, as well as offices, a premium shopping precinct and what is set to be Brisbane’s newest dining destination. Catering for everything from fine dining to casual eating, the long-awaited Brisbane Quarter development is sure to elevate Brisbane’s profile to compete with the sleekest of international destinations.

Yes, we’re talking about you, Melbourne.

With an array of world-class restaurants & bars already announced (some of which have already opened their doors!), we’re sure the foodie hub will become Brisbane’s newest go-to riverside drinking and dining destination.

Now that your appetite has been whet, it’s time to look at the dining options.

We’ve already been teased with the news that Persone, from our very own Gambaro Group, will be joining the precinct. With a contemporary and innovative approach to Italian dining, Persone is reportedly inspired by the iconic film La Dolce Vita and will have a laneway-style design. With a blend of both traditional Italian dining and modern Australian flare, we’re already anticipating that this will become our go-to for a nonna-worthy feed.

It has also been revealed that Michelin-starred chef Manjunath Mural will be bringing his distinct Asian-Indian gastronomy to Brisbane in a unique partnership with Malt Dining’s Nick Pinn and Saffron Restaurant’s Sridhar Penumechu. Expect to indulge in contemporary cuisine using traditional Indian techniques refreshed with contemporary Australian flavours. Heritij will also have its own destination bar, headed up by our very own Nick Pinn. With street-food dining, a wicked liquor selection and impeccable cocktails, it’s an incredible dining experience in its own right!

Already part of the precinct and with doors open to the hungry public are the offerings of W Brisbane. Taking over the third floor of W Brisbane is Three Blue Ducks. With a wide deck that opens up completely when the weather is nice, dining at Three Blue Ducks is truly spectacular. With an emphasis on fresh, local produce, it’s a stunning addition to Brisbane’s dining scene that we are definitely appreciative of. While you’re there, be sure to check out the Living Room bar and the WET Deck, both of which are stunning places to mingle and relax as you enjoy a drink and unwind for a little bit.

Of course, Brisbane Quarter has all your dining needs sorted. If it’s simply a casual bite-to-eat or a light lunch with colleagues, there are plenty of options to choose from. Currently on the bill is NYC Bagel, Sandwich Chefs and the Simple Life Café plus your caffeine hit from Emporium Coffee.

Brisbane gal through and through, Siobhan is an avid cider-enthusiast and a keen believer in brunch (house deposit be damned). When she's not at the beach, she can be spotted lusting after makeup she can't afford, re-watching The Office (the US version, obviously) or annoying her friends with her insane astrology theories (she's an Aquarius, FYI).
