With our perma-sunny days and blissful tropical weather, Brisbane is home to some of the best beer gardens this side of Munich. But we still haven’t got enough, which is why we are pretty damn keen to check out the latest beer garden development, Riverland.

Perched high at the rear of the Emirates House on Eagle St, Riverland will boast one of the best views of Brisbane’s glorious snaking river, making it the perfect destination for after-work drinks, a classic Sunday sesh, or dinner and pre-drinks.

Riverland walkway Perspective

The sprawling design, as seen in the artist’s impressions, are from the minds of Melbourne architects, Burton & Carter, and feature timber finishes, intertwining greenery, and bronze detailing. Talk about luxe. Riverland (which is starting to sound like a theme park from our childhoods) will feature five street kitchens (constructed from converted shipping containers), four rotating food vendors, regular entertainment, and a fully stocked island bar (yes, we mean fully stocked – domestic, international, craft, and micro brews). The precinct has been carefully designed to cater for functions, and we can already imagine the killer Christmas parties that will be hosted here.

Casual and relaxed, Riverland will have a festive and vibrant energy. With regular live music acts performing throughout the weekend, Riverland will be a destination for socialising with friends and indulging in a stiff drink (or two or three …) and we are already keen to knock back a few when they open later this Spring. Keep your eye out for more updates!
