Easter is arguably our favourite time of year and not just because we can enjoy a 4-day weekend and have the best excuse to eat our weight in chocolate. From Friday 30th March until Monday 1st April, you’ll find us celebrating Easter by making our way around town to cross off every Easter themed dish in Brisbane. And trust us when we say, you’ll want to add these to your long-weekend hit list, too.
From eggsploding hot chocolates to Cadbury cream egg custard puffs, we take a look at the best Easter themed foodie finds to try this long weekend.
No strangers to featuring on a list of delicious, chocolatey baked goods, Dello Mano have got a long list of Easter theme goodies that are a must if your gifting, indulging or both! The 2018 Easter collection includes a Hot Cross Luxury Brownie Gift Box, Easter Celebration Mud Cake, Easter Brownie Egg, Easter Brownie Heart, Rocky Road, truffles and more.
Although their Easter orders have closed, Nodo will be baking their hot cross buns and doughnuts fresh every day over the Easter long weekend until they’re sold out. The gluten-free goodies have already been a hit over the last month and this weekend is your last chance to get a taste of them before they go off the menu until next year.

Three words: Sweet. Dippy. Eggs! Paddock Bakery has taken the theme of Easter to a whole new level with their long-weekend offering of Easter Dippy Eggs. Two chocolate eggs filled with white chocolate cheesecake and an oozy centre of sa lted caramel comes served in an egg carton with a side of new doughnut fries. They’ll also be serving their popular semi-sourdough doughnuts filled with white chocolate custard and topped with a chocolate egg full of their house salted caramel. There’s never been a better time to make the trip to the GC to crack it open and let the goodness spill out.
Brisbane’s favourite all-vegan bakery and home to the infamous galaxy brownie, VeganYumm, will be serving up a tasty vegan take on the hot cross bun in the form of an Easter doughnut. With only 100 available on Easter Friday from 8am until 3pm, The Boston cream Easter doughnut topped in chocolate icing and filled with custard cream won’t last long so you’ll want to be first at the door on Friday morning or give them a call to secure one.
Our fave cheese geniuses, the team at Forage The Cow, are levelling up our Easter weekend with their ultra-deluxe Easter cheese platter and their Easter eggsplosion hot chocolate! Whether you’re after rich cheeses or a creamy hot choc, they’ll be sure to hit the spot.
If you think you’ve had enough of hot cross buns this year, we reckon you’re wrong. Cake & Bake have a delicious lineup of fresh hot cross buns. For something a little more indulgent, they also have an Easter gift box which comes with one of their signature brownies!
Hot. Cross. Puns. Cakes & Shit are serving up sassy and cute cupcakes, each with a clever pun for you to chuckle over as you enjoy your snack. With a hot cross cupcake base, chai buttercream, Lindt chocolate shavings and a white chocolate cross, they are seriously epic.
Our fave northside Nordic eatery & bar is #blessing us with an Easter egg hot chocolate. Tucked away in West End, Lokal And Co is a quaint café serving up homemade fare all weekend, so don’t miss out!
Flour and Chocolate are not holding back this year. From vegan hot cross buns to full-on bunny cakes, they are taking our Easter celebrations to new heights. If that’s not enough, they also have Easter doughnuts, Easter cupcakes and Easter egg chocolate brownies. Drool.
The team at Cold Rock know that we love a sweet treat. For Easter this year, they are treating us to a chocolate Easter egg filled with your choice of ice cream (obviously you need to try the Cake Batter ice cream) with any 3 mix-ins of your choice for less than $9. Delish.
