The Brisbane Times Good Food Month is back another year, with another program bursting with more than 200 different mouth-watering events. So clear your diaries as for the next month, breakfast right through to late night drinks is sorted. With the best of Queensland produce, restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars joining in, locals are treated to a smorgasbord of dining options, and Style is here to help you narrow down the ones not to miss.

Let’s Do Lunch | Stokehouse Q | Daily | $38

Stokehouse is treating guests to an exclusive special weekday lunch offer, including any entrée and main plus a glass of wine. Their annual winter “Bar Hop” in the Stoke Bar is the feature cocktail with bar snack Gigi Fizz (Tanqueray, pink grapefruit, lime, cucumber swirl), served with Fresh Endive, Pepsaya crème fraiche, Cyprus sea salt.

Chef’s Selection | Longtime | Nightly | $90

Longtime Executive Chef, Ben Bertei, has created a smorgasbord menu of signature share plates, featuring soft shell crab bao, aromatic Moreton Bay Bug curry and a red curry of duck, paired with a Koh Coconut cocktail and desserts to finish.

Editor’s Dinner | Esquire | July 21 | $100

Held at Esq at Equire, one of Brisbane’s most acclaimed restaurants, guests can sit down to dinner with Brisbane Times Good Food Guide Editor Natascha Mirosch and editor Sarah McInerney as they share stories of putting good food into print and online.

Night Noodle Markets | July 22-August 2 | South Bank | Free Entry

After its unprecedented debut success, the Night Noodle Markets are returning with over 30 Asian inspired restaurant stalls from some of Brisbane’s favourite eateries. Now with the ease of being cashless, all drink and food purchases are now available via credit or debit card. Now open for lunch until late of weekends, this one will see you stopping by more than once to sample all that is on offer.

Rooftops and Skylines| Hotel Urban Sunset Session | August 2 | $85

Tanqueray G and Tea Rooftop Garden | The Fox Hotel: Dandys Rooftop | July 18 | $42

The traditional high tea reaches new heights at The Fox Hotel's Dandy’s Rooftop Bar, as their adults-only rooftop garden party will have you sipping Tanqueray (gin) cocktails from a goblet, while indulging in red velvet cupcakes and fancy sandwiches. Brisbane Low and Slow BBQ Festival | Fish Lane | July 18 to 19 | $15

Consider yourself a lover of all things slow-roasted and bbq’d? (who doesn’t?). You’ll love this pop up festival on the corner of Fish Lane and Cordelia Street in South Bank hosted by the Wandering Cooks; Brisbane’s BBQ extraordinaires. There will be a ‘low and slow’ BBQ tournament, food stalls and cooks marketplace, workshops and masterclasses, with live entertainment and DJs.
