7 Brisbane Bars with Moët on the Menu

Ain’t no party like a champagne party!

Just when you thought the final day of the working week couldn't get any better, on Friday June 16, Brisbane will kick off a weekend of celebrations for International Moet Day, which officially is on Saturday. Yes, you read correctly. There is a day officially dedicated to our favourite glass of French bubbles.

Think of yourself as a lover of a good Moët moment? Then this is the kind of #appreciationday you’ll be keen to celebrate.

The first International Moët Day party last year was judged a huge success. So this year, for only the second time in history, Moët & Chandon will create an extraordinary 24-hour international celebration of the magic that is a great glass of champers.

So, just in case you needed another great excuse to indulge in a drink this weekend, here’s a list of 7 Brisbane bars with Moët on the menu (and don’t forget to #moetmoment to join the global movement).

Not only is Blackbird one of Brisbane’s hottest spots for an after-work tipple or two, they have been selected by Moët & Chandon to host Queensland’s official International Moët Day party on Saturday June 17. Get in on all the champagne action from 4pm with flowing bubbles, beats and an impressive charcuterie spread. You can even score a bottle of Moët for only $70 a pop.

There is no question that Gambaro set the standard for fine wining and dining in Brisbane. Personally, I think a glass of Moët goes down a treat alongside some fresh seafood or a delicious marbled steak. To celebrate the luxury of Moët & Chandon, for the whole month of June, Gambaro Seafood Restaurant, MG Bar and Blackhide Steakhouse will have a special offer where you can enjoy a bottle of Moët & Chandon for just $99!

It’s Friday and you’re ready to get high, right? Make your way eleven storeys up and take in one of Brisbane’s better views at Eleven Rooftop Bar (with a glass of Moët in hand, of course!) Seize your Moët moment the right way with a bottle of Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage.

Known for hosting some of the best Friday arvo drinking sessions in Brissie, it’s no surprise that A&C have a drinks list complete with not only your classic bottle of Moët, but Moët Imperial Rosé, too. With both bottles at $100 a pop, it would be rude not to indulge in both on International Moët Day to create the ultimate #moetmoment.

There is only one thing that could be better than having a glass of Moët in hand and that would be having a warm, salty German pretzel in the other! If you can’t tempt your beer-drinking friends to indulge in some bubbles, Bavarian is the ideal spot offering the best of both worlds, as well as a kick-ass view.

From 6pm ’til late on Fridays, Soleil Pool Bar comes alive with DJs mixing tunes and the drinks flowing well into the evening. If you find you’re alone in your quest to find a glass of Moët and Chandon, you can rest assured that Soleil will have you sorted as they sell the French champagne by the glass for $25.

From 3pm Friday, Limes Rooftop Bar will open for service to help you kick off the weekend the right way. Not only do Limes offer classic bottles of Moët Imperial, they also serve up bottle of Moët Ice. If you haven’t heard of Moët Ice before, you’re probably shuddering at the thought of tainting your glass of bubbles with ice cubes, however Moët Imperial Ice has been specially crafted to be served over ice and accompanied by fresh fruit. For me, finding Moët Ice on a drink list is like hitting the jackpot (and not only because it is served in a nifty white chalice!)

If your idea of a relaxed Friday afternoon doesn’t involve rubbing shoulders with work colleagues or fighting your way to the bar, your best option is to BYO. Here is a list of Brisbane’s best BYO restaurants so you can enjoy a bottle of Moët wherever you please.
