Brisbane's 5 Hottest Dessert-Style Cocktails

So you fancy a little something sweet after dinner or maybe even before you start your night? Allow us to introduce you to some of the sweetest cocktails in Brisbane - and where to go to get them.

In no particular order here are our choice of the hottest dessert cocktails in town.

1. The Marshmallow Cocoa

If you’re especially sweet and like your cocktail to be the same The Marshmallow Cocoa will have you floating on cloud 9. Marshmallow vodka? Yes please! Make it your warm-up cocktail for Easter; this creamy delight will have you feeling like you’re sweet 16 all over again.
Ingredients: Marshmallow vodka, Crème de cacao and cinnamon
Where: The Jetty Oxford, 1b Oxford St, Bulimba.

2. Salted Caramel Pina Colada

Alfred and Constance have just launched their brand new Tiki cocktail menu and they're all amazing but our cream of the crop is the Salted Caramel Pina Colada. While throwing back pina coladas have always ensured a good night out, the addition of salted caramel takes it to the next level. Who was the brains behind this ingenious creation? New York tiki cocktail master Richard Boccato, of course.
Ingredients: Fresh pineapple juice, house-made cream of coconut, overproof rum, house-made date infused caramel syrup, smoked sea salt and a sprinkling of orange blossom water.
Where: Alfred and Constance, Corner Alfred and Constance Sts, Fortitude Valley.

3.  Pavlova

If it’s the eclectic stylin’ West End you want to head out to, Lychee Lounge has an array of delish cocktails, but the Pavlova will have you experiencing all kinds of awesome. Think of it as a dessert in a cocktail glass. Not only will this one give you a vitamin C hit with the lemon juice and fresh passionfruit, the added edition of the garnished miniature meringue will have you wishing it lasted a lifetime…
Ingredients: Infused Absolut Vodka, lemon juice, vanilla gomme, pear liqueur, fresh passionfruit garnished with a miniature meringue.
Where: Lychee Lounge, 2/9 Boundary St, West End.

4. From Spain with Love

One of the classiest places you’ll find in the Valley is The Emporium and within that complex you’ll find the Emporium Hotel and within that is The Emporium Cocktail Bar, which looks like the sexiest bar you’ve ever seen! From Spain With Love is the name of one of the most decadent cocktails on the menu. The name had us hooked at the first sip.
Ingredients: Singleton scotch, Pedro Ximinez, Mozart dark chocolate, Drambuie, chocolate bitters.
Where: Emporium Cocktail Bar, 1000 Ann St, Fortitude Valley.

5. From Dusk Til Daisy

A little heads up on this one, Saturday is Ladies Night with cocktail specials. You’ll fall in lust with the name of this cocktail before you even try it: From Dusk Til Daisy has just three ingredients but will give you a pep up with a yummy taste hit.
Ingredients: Tequila, Kahlua, espresso.
Where: The Rogue Rennard, 106A Latrobe Tce, Paddington.
