The Style Edit: The Team’s Winter Wishlist

Need? No. Want? Absolutely.

By Bianca Licina | 29th May 2025

Welcome to the Shopaholics Club — where online shopping is a full-time hobby and paychecks disappear faster than we’d like to admit. Here at Style, resisting those ‘must-have’ finds is basically impossible, and trust us, we’ve been busy curating the ultimate winter wardrobe.

With temps dipping below 23 degrees, it’s officially coat, blazer, and boots season (well, for us at least) — it’s time to layer up in style.

Whether we’ve already hit “buy” or our favourites are patiently waiting in our carts, here’s what the Stylers can’t get enough of right now.

Love these pieces too? We don’t blame you. Come on – hit ‘add to cart’.

I’m definitely silver-obsessed right now, and I love a good studded shoulder bag—this one from Mood Muse is already in my cart. It’s the perfect way to spruce up a plain all-black outfit or add a touch of glam to any look. Sunglasses are a must when living in QLD, and I firmly believe you can never have too many pairs. A sleek pair of sunnies can instantly elevate your style. These Le Specs semi-rimless lenses with a hint of silver are my go-to for enhancing my daily look. Finally, I’m all about chrome at the moment, so these Brie Leon heels are a perfect addition to my wardrobe. The thong style works year-round, and I’ll be living in this pair thanks to its simple design and chic square toe.

Let’s be real: am I paying $2K for a bomber jacket? Hell no. But this one from The Attico? It’s living rent-free in my brain. This is a wish list, right? And if I did fork out that kind of cash, I’d absolutely get my cost-per-wear down to cents – I’d wear it to lunch with the girls, to a launch event, date night, heck, I’d wear it to Coles! (Just talked myself into taking my own lunch to work for the next month). Also on my list: The Attico’s ‘8.30pm’ clutch – she’s sleek, modern and unapologetically Italian. I’d wear this too every day, every night, everywhere. CPW? Justified. And then there’s the Drifted Chubby Jacket from Sass & Bide, which I’ve already snapped up for a fashion event at Queensland Government House. Not sure if it’s entirely appropriate… but I’m wearing it anyway ‘coz (faux) fur and fancy always go hand in hand..

Every winter, I run into the same wardrobe dilemma – what do you wear when a boot feels too formal and a sneaker’s just a little too casual? This year, I’m officially in my loafer era, and honestly, I’m loving it. Easy, comfy, and effortlessly chic, I’ve been living in my black leather pair from Assembly Label. While we’re on the topic of winter staples, I’ve got a soft spot for cotton long-sleeved tees. There’s just something about them that’s so cosy yet put-together. Venroy’s latest winter capsule has nailed it – their lightweight cotton is soft, breathable, and beautifully made. I grabbed the green-ish one and now I’m eyeing off the rest of the colourways. And finally, skincare. I’ve been on quite the journey over the past year (ooft, what a ride), testing everything from pharmacy staples to clinical-grade solutions – and now, I’m exploring the natural route. I recently had a facial with Mukti products at The Bower’s spa in Byron, and I was instantly hooked. The scent, the texture – it all felt so luxurious. I’ve already switched to their cleansing lotion and Vitamin C serum, and next on my list is the moisturiser. Safe to say, I’m a convert. That’s me for now – adios!

Technically, I don’t need any of these. So, this is a wishlist for when my restraint finally gives in. Exhibit A: Just by Looking at Him — Ryan O’Connell’s sharply self-aware novel that will absolutely ruin me in the best way. Exhibit B: a navy Casatlantic linen jacket to better prepare my wardrobe for an escape to Europe. Exhibit C: the Yama Cold Drip Maker, to clutter my kitchen even more.

I’m just a tad obsessed with Bronze Snake at the moment, and I can’t get enough of their sets. This snake print number just scratches an itch on my brain in a way that makes me feel like I cannot physically live another week without it in my wardrobe. As an office girly who’s always on the hunt to level up in her health game, this Ultrahuman Ring is one I’ve had my eye on for a while. Tracking steps, sleep and stress? Sign me tf up. To round out my little list – and I can’t believe I’m this late to the Base Camp Beauty party – the brush of my slick back bun dreams. Needless to say, if my bun isn’t tight and my ring isn’t clocking my cortisol in the next 7 to 10 business days, I’m simply not participating.

Honestly, all I need to get through winter is good accessories and even better skin. These items are on my lust list and I’ll be adding them to cart for sure.

Alright ladies and gents, let’s break it down — here’s what I got, want, and desperately need. Got: As someone who lives for her 10k steps a day and is a diehard Asics girl, I had to get down to Alfred’s Apartment and pick up the TEMPTATION VACATION x ASICS gel trainer. Between the brown hiking-style laces and the “tune out, dial in” detailing on the back, I’m fully obsessed. Want: The Evanthe Blazer from Sir the Label. That colour? It’s screaming to be part of my winter rotation. Need: What I need (like yesterday) is for my Crop Shop Boutique order to turn up at my door. I accidentally sent it to my old address, it got returned, and now I’m waiting oh-so-patiently for my cute white ballet wrap top. It’s the final piece in my Pilates fit puzzle this winter. That’s all from me, ciao for now!

Apparently, I’m channelling my inner Rachel Green this winter – I’ve just got myself a 90s lob, and my wishlist is giving off the same energy. I’m loving all things minimal but unique, emanating that effortlessly cool, 90s-chic aesthetic (or that’s the plan anyway). Recently, I have not been able to escape Nuri Studios on my Instagram feed, and this subtle yet striking glass bead necklace is top of my list. Dress her up, dress her down – this necklace I’m hoping will be my secret to looking elevated without having to try too hard. Now I’ve not been much of a cardigan girl lately, but something about this belted With Jéan number is really tickling my fancy. Just warm enough to brace for winter and just cool enough with that funky belt detail. Then, yet another brand brought to me courtesy of IG ads, Cami Citrine is, to me, the perfect balance of fun and wearable. The Pippa has been living rent-free in my head, so I’m hoping to make this bad boy my go-to day-to-night bag, now just to decide on a colour…
