Brisbane’s fashionable best, Emily Plummer and Shaun Birley, put the spotlight on their spring collaboration with Wintergarden as part of The City Edition.
What excites you most about this collaboration with Wintergarden?
Shaun: Well it is the hot spot for all mens’ needs in Brisbane, and quality brands at that. It always makes collaborating fun when you really love the products that the brands are producing.
What will be your go-to retailer of the season?
Shaun: Shoes are a big statement piece for me, even in my more casual looks. Without a doubt I’ll be popping in to Aquila! What spring trends shall we be keeping a look out for in the city?
Emily: Lace, white and blush colour combinations. Also, relaxed fits, high-waisted garments and wide leg pants should become wardrobe staples.
New season finds are every where, what brand do you look to first?
Shaun: M.J. Bale have great new looks and are always on the front foot with designs. This is evident in their patterns, fabrics and cuts. If you’re looking for a good staple or something more adventurous, definitely give M.J. Bale a visit.
Are there any spring trends you’re most looking forward to wearing once the weather warms up?
Emily: Gingham made its spring debut last year and is back again this year, Cue have nailed it. Feminine frill hemlines at Seed Heritage, red and blush combinations as well as bold sleeves are all on my must-wear list.
In your opinion, what makes Wintergarden one of Brisbane’s most iconic shopping and lifestyle destinations?
Emily: Showcasing both international and Australian fashion houses, Wintergarden has defined both Queen St Mall and Brisbane as a must-visit shopping destination for locals and tourists alike.
