St. Agni Presents Resort 2026 on Its Own Terms in Armadale

Refined. Intentional. Femininity.

By Kiri Johnston | 23rd October 2025

Australian favourite, St. Agni stepped away from the traditional runway for its Resort 2026 debut, choosing to present the collection within the quiet architecture of its Armadale boutique in Melbourne. Textured walls, softened light and curated vintage pieces set the scene as models moved through the space, making the show feel less like a spectacle and more like an invitation into the brand’s world — personal, restrained, and intentional.

From show day, the collection is available to preview online, with the full release arriving today.

A study in strength and softness

Resort 2026 is St. Agni’s most expansive wardrobe yet — spanning ready-to-wear, footwear, leather goods, accessories, eyewear and swim, all shown together for the first time.

Creative Director Lara Fells describes the collection as an exploration of the tension between strength and softness, expressed through sculptural silhouettes and tactile finishes. Circles and hourglass forms anchor the shapes, while textures journey between fluid and structured.

Key pieces include:

  • Sheer Silk Circle-Hem Dress — light, ethereal, designed to catch movement

  • Hand-finished brushed leather — each garment individually treated and unique

  • Innovations in silk — stretch silk, embellished silk and refined silk blends

  • A grounded palette — Liqueur, Rum, Doe, Mocha, Mousse and Pink Salt

Each look moves between precision and ease — belted waistlines over sheer dresses, structured leather layered with soft silk — creating a collection that feels quiet yet assured.

Why Armadale made sense

Rather than show on schedule, St. Agni brought Resort 26 back to where the clothes live — in their own boutique. Designed in collaboration with Studio McQualter, the Armadale store blends restored heritage details with contemporary restraint. The presentation blurred the line between runway and retail; when the final look passed, there were no curtains or barricades, only garments ready to be touched, tried, owned.

Makeup by MERIT focused on polished skin, subtle contouring and matte tonal lips. Hair, styled by Mr. Smith, stayed natural and refined — soft partings, clean texture, nothing overly done.

From Byron Bay to the world

Founded by Lara and Matt Fells, St. Agni began in Byron Bay and has evolved from woven leather slides to an internationally recognised design studio. Today it operates boutiques in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Byron Bay, alongside a global online presence and more than 100 stockists.

Yet throughout that growth, its design language remains clear — restraint, longevity and clothing that exists beyond a season. If this presentation proved anything, it’s that St. Agni will always do things its own way.
