Here’s How To Slither Into The Biggest Animal Print of 2024

Don't be rattled

By Bianca Licina | 3rd April 2024

There are far and few patterns that can stand the test of time, but there’s no denying that animal print is one we want to dig our claws into. With a major resurgence of leopard print recently flooding the fashion landscape, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing its reptilian counterpart join in on the action.

Edgy, fun, and surprisingly neutral, snakeskin is the hero pattern we’re seeing dominating autumn/winter collections this year. From Scanlan Theodore to Naked Vice, our favourite brands are shedding their summer skins and slithering into this pattern.

How to wear it

The beauty of animal print, and snakeskin in particular, is that despite it being loud, it’s actually quite neutral. Quieter than leopard print but packing the same punch, snakeskin pieces will be easy to wear every day, particularly if you’re a neutral girlie (like me). This means that your cost per wear is well, super low (so yes, that purchase is totally justifiable).

A versatile pattern, pair your favourite snakeskin pieces with black, white, and browns. It also looks great with bolder colours such as red (but what doesn’t go with red, right). Not only does it act as a statement piece, but it also works as a textural element, adding interest to a simple look.
