Despite living in different states, sisters and business partners Lisa O’Keefe and Stacey Clayton have created a successful jewellery label inspired by people just like them – mothers. ‘Koolaman’ was named after Lisa’s home ‘Koolaman Station’ - a 73,000 acre wheat and sheep property in country New South Wales.
The inspiring pair started their business in 2007 and haven’t looked back. They have gained a number of celebrity fans such as Danni Minogue, Lindy Klim, Julie Goodwin and Johanna Griggs.
With six kids between them, the pair know just how special family is and created the Penny Pendant as a symbol of love for customers to engrave the names of their loved ones. Due to popular demand, the pendant is now available with smaller font to make room for longer names or larger families.
Priced at $250, The Penny Pendant is created using sterling silver and measures 3.9cm x 3.9cm. It fits up to 46 characters including spaces. If silver isn’t your thing, the Victoria pendant offers customer the same design in a yellow, rose or white gold version.
A range of other sterling silver and 9ct gold jewellery pieces are available including pendants, bracelets, earrings, bangles, cufflinks and keychains. All pieces are able to be hand stamped with the names of loved ones or personal messages.
The Koolaman online store features pieces ranging in price from around $100. For more information visit www.koolaman.com.au
