It’s been hush hush in the fashion industry for quite some time now, but we finally have the scoop on Stone And Metal’s secret Project X. We’re super psyched to reveal that Stone And Metal are releasing their own line of bohemian handbags!
We’re ALWAYS on the lookout for our next favourite handbag. Because we need one for work, one for date night, one for casual brunch with the girls, one to match those shoes, and one for… well, you get the point.
But we can’t always afford to splurge on designer totes (sigh), so we’re extremely pleased when we find affordable and super on-trend treasures. While we would usually keep said treasures to ourselves (get your own quirky bag!), we’ve decided to let Stylers in on this exciting news.
Brisbane metalsmith, designer and Stone And Metal owner Samantha Anderson has been working hard behind the scenes for the past few months to bring “Hathor” to life, and it is set to be the biggest expansion the brand has experienced to date.
You might know Stone And Metal from the lust-worthy handcrafted metal and gemstone jewellery pieces by emerging designers and internationally-sourced brands, and we promise you their bags are just as precious.
The Hathor collection, named after the Egyptian goddess of love, was inspired by the supple leathers and unique individuality of cowhides, with Stone And Metal only using genuine leather, cowhide hair-on and cow Napa leather which have been drum dyed. Each handbag is also adorned with a Stone And Metal sterling silver and crystal trinket and has been designed to be effortlessly stylish, easy to wear everywhere, and basically a natural work of art to tote on your arm.
The Hathor collection will have minimal stock in each style (totes, hip bags and clutches) and will be available in a range of colours and leathers/hides from $55 to $345. Hello, multiple purchases! After all, leather and hide accessories make great long-term investment pieces, right?
