Brisbane sneaker lovers, consider this your sign to head northside.

Global sportswear giant New Balance has officially opened its first Brisbane store at Westfield Chermside, bringing its cult-favourite performance and lifestyle collections directly to Queensland shoppers for the first time.

Located on Level 2 near the Fashion Mall precinct, the new 300sqm retail space officially opened this week and marks the brand’s 10th standalone retail location across Australia. Designed with a clean, modern fit-out, the store combines performance, lifestyle and streetwear under one roof, giving Brisbane shoppers direct access to footwear, apparel and accessories across running, training and everyday wear. Known for effortlessly bridging fashion and function, New Balance has become a staple among everyone from serious runners to the fashion crowd, thanks to its blend of technical performance footwear and quietly cool lifestyle silhouettes. From the viral 530s and 9060s to the Made in USA range, performance runners and elevated activewear, the new Brisbane store is expected to stock a mix of the brand’s most in-demand styles, alongside exclusive releases and seasonal drops.

The opening also reflects the growing appetite for premium sportswear and lifestyle retail in Brisbane, particularly as the city continues to evolve ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

WHAT: To celebrate the New Balance Brisbane store opening activation featuring complimentary custom bouquets with Laneige and The Flower Bar for customers who spend $100 or more in-store.

WHEN: Saturday May 30 – Sunday May 31, 2026 10am–6pm
