I’d like to think there’s a little bit of bohemian in all of us. Take me for example – I love wearing classic cuts, the colour black and anything that will stand the test of time, but show me a printed maxi dress and I’ll melt!
It’s safe to say I was very impressed by the recent launch of Bohemia, the Autumn/Winter collection from Mister Zimi. One look at the collection will tell you that Jimi and Zoe Paul, designers of the quintessentially Australian label, have hit the nail on the head. Bohemia has just the right amount of free-spirited style that everyone loves.
Shot in California’s Venice Beach, the stunning campaign features Victoria’s Secret model Marloes Horst and epitomises everything that is the Mister Zimi brand: rich colours, effortless style and a sense of adventure.
Taking inspiration from the rebellious bohemian of the ’60s and ’70s, the rich colours of Marrakesh and style icons such as Talitha Getty, Bohemia is a collection that is sure to intrigue your inner hippie. Whether you wear a lot of colour or love a classic piece, there is space for a Bohemia piece in everyone’s wardrobe.
The Mister Zimi brand has continued to let its signature cuts shine (fans of the Tina dress, rejoice!) while incorporating some gorgeous new styles. My favourites would have to be Gypsy and Giselle: I’m loving the extra frills and asymmetrical hems.
The prints are rich, bright and large with a hippie feel that’s still elegant and sophisticated enough to work with a more formal look. This collection is perfect for a Queensland winter. Just pair one of their gorgeous print dresses with a statement jacket, boots and some fine gold jewels and you’re set.
