We are self-proclaimed fashion addicts here at Style and it’s not a trait we shy away from. From Australian designers to international labels, we’re constantly chasing the latest and rolling with the greatest, drooling over fabrics and fantasising about runways. So, when Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane laid down the red carpet this week showcasing the upcoming SS19 season collections, you can guarantee we were right there, sparkling wine in-hand and camera at-the-ready.

Howard Smith Wharves was humming with fashion enthusiasts who were showcasing some serious statement pieces before the official catwalk began. From the fan affair to the bold pieces being fiercely fashioned on the runway, it was a week of creativity from the audience and designers alike. Each show took place in HSW’s newest event space, Howard’s Hall, with the Story Bridge creating an idyllic backdrop and we didn’t miss a moment of the action.

Sunset Launch Party | Sunday, August 25

Beautiful bodies decked in crisp whites gathered below the iconic Story Bridge and it was a vision to say the least. With the sunset as a backdrop, the models provided a sneak peak of what was to come – their colourful outfits standing out amongst the monochrome at The Fantauzzo.

Aje, Ginger and Smart, Article:, Lindsay Ridings, Bonita Collective, alice McCALL, White Label Noba and Bianca Spender had the audience enthralled in a flash of flare, colour and creativity. Banging beats set the tone and the catwalk was filled with frilled pastel hues, electric neon moments and flowing tie-dye. We loved running into our May cover model Vera Haddock in the crowd!
