Gucci Goes Courtside At The Padel Invitational At Sydney Opera House

Gucci went courtside over the weekend, hosting a private evening at the Sydney Opera House to celebrate the launch of The Padel Invitational presented by UBS.
Held on Friday 14 August, the evening brought together fashion and sport as guests watched some of the world’s top padel players take to the court for an exhibition match, with the Sydney Opera House and harbour providing a fitting backdrop.
Running from 14–16 August, The Padel Invitational also saw Gucci bring its signature touch to the sidelines with a fully customised Gucci cart serving coffee, tea and matcha, each personalised with Gucci branding.
Among those attending dressed in Gucci were Olympic champion Jessica Fox, Keiynan Lonsdale, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Montana Cox, The Inspired Unemployed’s Matt Ford and Jack Steele, Elle Ferguson and Joel Patfull, Steve Cordony, Deborah Symond-O’Neil, Emma Kate Boyd, Edyll Ismail, and Werner Bronkhorst.
Also joining the guest list were Kylah Day, Lakota Johnson, Lucas Whitesmith, Dan Brown, Billie-Jean Hamlet, Rachel Tee Tyler, Amou Ring, Nabila Leunig, Halla Madol, Zali Kidwell, and Tara Chandra.

The Sydney event arrives as the worlds of luxury fashion and sport continue to move closer together, with Gucci putting its own stamp on one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.
The Padel Invitational presented by UBS was held at the Sydney Opera House from 14–16 August 2026.
