NICO Underwear, the first Australian underwear brand to achieve accreditation with Ethical Clothing Australia have released their highly anticipated new collection, ‘The New Imagery’- so say goodbye to those boring or uncomfortable briefs!
Brisbane underwear company NICO aims to minimise their impact on the environment and make all of their garments in Australia under ethical conditions, with materials sustainably sourced to ensure each garment is made to last.
In NICO’s latest collection, the focus turns to luxe fabrics, contrasting textures, lines and stand-out shapes. It draws inspiration from the De Stijl movement, which explored asymmetrical shapes and relationships between opposing elements and textures to create art that was simple, yet striking and by mimicking this NICO has created wearable pieces of conceptual art in the process.
NICO’s creative director Lis Harvey says the new collection is definitely a conceptual collection but still remains true to NICO’s values.
“The New Imagery has given us the chance to look at design in a totally different way, as well as to work with some really luxurious fabrics,” she says.
The collection uses bamboo jersey with touches of velour in a bamboo and organic cotton blend, for a truly luxe feel. With this collection expressing luxury, it is designed for the woman with a strong sense of individuality and an appreciation for quality.
‘The New Imagery’ is now available exclusively from the NICO Underwear online store
