The Emerge Australia Fashion Precinct will feature runway events and workshops, and encompassing accessories, shoes and bags, emerging designers swim and resort wear, Merino wool, sustainable styling and avant-garde hairstyling and makeup.

Emerge Australia was founded by two Brisbane locals with the one goal: to support, build and grow the Brisbane fashion industry. After launching Emerge Australia early in 2013, Claire Goldsworthy and Mitchell Dempsey created and ran Fashion Fridays, a series of runway events to showcase local emerging designers and promote locally owned boutiques. The wildly successful series of events saw more than 36 local creatives present their collections over 6 months and launched local favourite, Fabled and True, into the Brisbane retail scene.

In 2014, Emerge Australia has turned their hands to community projects, joining with the Teneriffe Festival to present the Emerge Australia Fashion Precinct on Saturday July 5.

"We wanted to create a full day of fashion that had depth to it - so our seven shows are based on the backbones of the fashion industry from emerging designers to established boutiques, our Australian beach culture, the importance of primary industries and sustainability in the fashion realm, and the amazing stylists and salons that we have right here in Brisbane,” Claire says.

Emerge Australia’s full day program of seven runway events, pamper stations, pop-up shops, interactive styling workshops and much more are perfect for local fashion enthusiasts.

The growing list of designers, boutiques and salons already includes: Mary and Marie, Colin Heaney, Zingiber Swimwear, La Biquini, Hoskin Designs, Thousand Island Dressing, Oki & Oro, Foley & Keane, Lazurah, Stone And Metal, Falling For Willow, Vogue Nationale, Tigerlamb, Jimmy Rods Barber Shop, Harriette Hill, Anna Hulm, Ivy Rose Design Studio, Erin Hassall, The Woolmark Company, Toscani, Tengdahl, Princess Polly, The Gallery Boutique, Latin Clothing Co, Atelier and many more.

You can experience the runway events in VIP, SILVER or GOLD seating, which can be purchased here.

The Teneriffe Festival is on July 5, check out full details here.
