Get Knotted With 8 Of Our Favourite Crochet Pieces

Hooked on the look

By Montana Hayes | 29th January 2024

In case you missed it, crochet has officially woven its way back into our wardrobes (and our hearts) and it couldn’t feel more nostalgic. A trend that first came about in the early 70s, crochet – like all trends from the 60s to 2000s – has experienced a renaissance over the last few years. You might even find a few pieces tucked away in the back of your mum’s wardrobe, just for times like these.

From runway shows to the latest summer collections, chances are you’ve seen this resurgence coming from a mile away – at least we certainly have.  Some of Australia’s most sought-after designers, like Venroy, SIR., and Silk Laundry have all embraced the trend and are giving a major nod to the new season staple that’s dominating our summer ‘drobe.

Now, we know a new trend can be a little overwhelming, however if you’re not down to go all-in on a funky, bold, and (quite-frankly) skin-exposing ‘fit just yet, you can ease into it with a subtle crochet accessory to trot to the beach in. Think crochet hat, crochet bag, or dare we say it, crochet shoes!
