One of the world’s giant annual music festival kicks off in just a weeks time! Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (or commonly known as ‘Chella’) is located just a two-hour drive from Los Angeles at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in Coachella Valley in Colorado Desert. Coachella’s enchanting spirit means the festival makes its way onto the top of many bucket lists – and for good reason!
The Colorado Desert venue with its blue-toned mountains, tropical palm trees, magical pink and purple sunsets, and the iconic ‘Le Grande Wheel’ lit up in fairy lights at night make for some of the most picturesque sights you’ll ever see at a music festival!
This year, with an extraordinary line up of amazing headliners featuring Queen Bey, Slim Shady, The Weeknd and hundreds more, there’s no wonder this festival attracts people from all around the globe. A-list celebrities who are regular attendees include Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Alessandra Ambrosio and Vanessa Hudgens (just to name a few).
Forget the stimulants; just watching the live performances from some of the world’s biggest headlining acts while standing an arm’s reach from some of your fave celebs amongst, while soaking up the festival’s magical vibe is enough to induce a state of euphoria.
But for those of us playing at home, the thing that gets us most excited about Coachella is the amazing fashion that floods our Instagram feeds during the two weekends.
If you’re lucky enough to be heading to the iconic event this year, we’ve got your festival wardrobe all sorted out! Not going? You can still steal some of these looks for your local upcoming fiestas.
Aztec prints are coming back bigger than ever! For an exotic Aztec look, layer gold jewellery and ornaments with Mexican-styled tribal prints that are superb for this Californian desert festival.
Coachella is known for it’s whimsical, bohemian fashion looks that originate from the ‘60s and ‘70s, that we just cant get enough of. Earthy tones, patterns and textures make up this beloved festival trend.
Sparkle your way through the festival with celestial pieces featuring moons, suns, planets and stars. You’ll be shining like the brightest star in the sky with these stellar styles on.
Got disco fever? Get down on the D-Floor in metallics and glitter body paint. Go for the shiniest mirror boots you can find and a statement pantsuit, and you’ll be dancing all night long!
There’s no such thing as too much pink. Soft pink is the ultimate colour for that dainty ladylike look that screams cool girl vibes – without looking too Barbie-esque.
Be brave, wild and free – dressed like a gypsy! Flowing flares and bell sleeves plus intricate threads are perfect for a dreamer-inspired outfit.
The beloved Parisian-chic ensemble is worn by all our fave ‘it-girls’ at the moment. A classic beret, stripes and petite spots paired together with a sophisticated confidence are all you need to rock this style.
LAID BACK LADY
Light, easy and casual basics worn with effortless flair complete this undone look. Breezy whites and ripped denim are our go-to pieces for a careless ‘woke up like this’ Californian-girl trend.
Thrift shop finds are the best for this old school-inspired look. From bold colours to psychedelic designs, take a glance at some photographs from your mother’s era to influence your wardrobe to really nail the trend.
ROCK N ROLL QUEEN
Think Kate Moss if you want to dress like an edgy rocker. Achieve her style with black leather, a graphic tee and a blasé attitude, complete with a little eyeliner and red lip (tip: the smudgier, the better).
SUGAR SWEET SOUL
Sugar, spice and all things nice… charm the crowd in a cute yellow frock, a straw bag and a touch of gingham. Sweet as can be!
WILD WILD WEST
Take it back to the wild wild west with fringing, tassels, suede and vintage tees! Pull out your western boots, a paisley neck scarf and a felt hat to release your inner cowgirl. Yee-haw!
