Brides, This Is Your Sign: You’ll Want To Book These Upcoming Trunk Shows

First look

By Kiri Johnston | 26th October 2025

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start the dress search, this might be it.

Bloom Australia is opening its Newstead studio for a series of intimate trunk shows, welcoming brides-to-be into the full vision of some of the world’s most celebrated bridal designers — a first glance shown in Brisbane before the gowns officially arrive in-store.

It’s an experience designed to slow things down. Silhouettes, fabrics and thoughtful details all in one place. Space to explore, to try things on, and to discover what feels right, with Bloom’s stylists there to guide you if you need.

Danielle Frankel: Collection X

Known for reimagining modern bridal, Danielle Frankel’s Collection X features everything from sculpted bodices and hand-draped silks to sheer layering and unexpected textures. This is the first time her full collection will be shown in Australia, and only for a few days. If you gravitate toward undone elegance and artful structure, this is your moment.

Blanc Wear: Collection IV

For brides drawn to quiet luxury, clean lines and minimal silhouettes, Blanc Wear’s Collection IV is a study in restraint. Think translucent organza, refined tailoring and pieces designed to move with the body rather than restrict it. It’s bridal for women who want subtlety, over spectacle.

Varca: My Metal Garden

Varca’s My Metal Garden is for the bride who loves romance but isn’t afraid of a little edge. Expect sculptural corsetry, metallic threadwork, soft lace with raw finishes and gowns that feel more like wearable poetry than tradition. Feminine, with a quiet power.

The details

These appointments are different to standard bridal fittings. Rather than selecting from a small edit of samples, you’ll see full designer collections exactly as they’re meant to be seen, together. You can try new-season silhouettes before they’re available in-store, customise pieces and, in some cases, secure a gown that may not return to Australia.

Appointments are private, one-on-one and limited in number. Once the collection moves to the next city, it doesn’t come back.
