We’ve all heard about those raging Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales that follow Thanksgiving and take over America by storm, yet now Australia’s joining with forces of our own.

The iconic name, Black Friday, was generated from company’s ink turning from the colour red, which represents loss, to black, which represents the profit. Marking the beginning of the holiday shopping season, Black Friday is our opportunity to make the most of the competing sales as we all begin wrapping for Christmas.

Starting in Australia on Thursday the 24th of November, we can all update our wardrobes and houses with competing sales both online and in store that’ll leave plenty of us drooling. Don’t forget about your Christmas Shopping, thank you after pay.

Despite its name, Black Friday sales have started early for those impatient few, and will last up until the following Cyber Monday.

Some fashion stores, such as The Iconic, Kogan and Sephora, have already started sales for up to 70%. Others, such as Bonds and ASOS are hinting at what’s to come.

For those of you after more than just fashion updates should keep their eyes on usual partaking retailers like Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi and Apple.

Join in on the ink going from red to black, and snatch up those sales on the 24th of November – your wallet’s probably screaming for the sales already.
