It’s that time of year again! Time to sit on the couch in our PJs, shoving chocolate in our mouths and judging the fashion of the MTV Movie Awards. Check out our top picks for the awesome hits and total misses.
Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid
OMG. These three rocked the all-black ensemble and looked like a kick-ass girl squad. Cara’s catsuit shows off her amazing figure, Kendall has #legsfordays and Gigi makes pinstripes look HOT! The #hairenvy is strong.
Brittany Snow looked all types of gorgeous in her outfit! Surprisingly, the red dress and shoes don’t look at all out of place on the red carpet. Kudos to her for using different shades of red to make it look right. Her slicked-back ’do allows her dress to be the centre of attention. Subtle gold accessories were a fab choice, too!
Black was obviously trending on the MTV red carpet this year and Charlize Theron was looking sexy in an Alexander McQueen sheer lace number. How does she make a cheeky dress look that sophisticated? There’s only one possible answer: witchcraft.
Ed Skrein (the bad guy in Deadpool) looked dapper in a deep burgundy ensemble. The black tie and shoes were a good choice to break up the colour in his suit. While some might say it was too much, let’s be real – he totally nailed it.
Also going for the one-colour trend this year was Holland Roden. Her all-blue outfit was match made in heaven with her fiery red hair, and she looked effortlessly chic and sophisticated. That makeup is on POINT!
I hate to diss on Australia’s comedy princess (long may she reign) but this outfit just didn’t do it for me. Rebel has previously aced the red carpet and this outfit was just a bit too boring for her outgoing personality. Better luck next time, Rebs.
This large papier mâché mask makes us think Mike Posner took a few too many pills in Ibiza before rocking up to the red carpet. It’s such a shame because everything from the neck down was awesome! Sorry, Mike. It’s just super creepy.
Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey showed off his goofy side in a red onesie with the words “I want my MTV” on his behind. While we totally dig that Dire Straits song, it probably wasn’t his best look. I won’t lie, I had a bit of a giggle – you can’t totally hate him for it when faced with those big puppy-dog eyes. Points for comfort!
