Situated at Nodo Donuts, these clean treats are dairy-free, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and vegan. The shop opens at 10am but you’re gonna have to fight the coeliac and lactose intolerant community for this, so line up early to avoid disappointment!

Free Yiros at new The Yiros Shop

Come one, come all and grab a free yiros at The Yiros Shop’s new South Bank location. If you’ve never heard of this magical treat, allow us to explain: traditional Greek yiros is a fluffy fresh pita scorched lightly on the grill, and filled with juicy pork, chicken or lamb, ripe tomato, red onion, parsley, tzatziki and chips. Yes! Enjoy the salty, crunchy goodness. Vegetarian? Not to worry! The Yiros Shop is also serving haloumi yiros. We’ll see you there!

The Yiros Shop, 189 Grey St, South Bank

Street Science at World Science Festival Brisbane

Explore the fun of science in an action-packed two-day extravaganza! Invite your friends and family, and watch dancing robots, make slime and snow, gaze through telescopes out into the universe, race a wind-powered animal, dig for fossils and much more!

All this learning is going to work up an appetite, and the World Science Festival has you covered with some of Brisbane’s best food trucks, including The Bone Lorry, Juan More Taco, and Ciao Bella Brisbane setting up shop all weekend to cater for your hungry tums.

Don’t forget to check out CSIRO’s Infinity swing! Grab your friends, take a seat and start swinging for science. The energy from the swing converts into electricity to light up letters and power music. Now that’s embracing science! Check out our top picks of the World Science Festival here.
