SUPER RICH KIDS FRANK OCEAN APPRECIATION NIGHT
Looking for some sweet tunes to liven up your Friday night? Head to the Bistrotheque (a part of the Empire Hotel) in Fortitude Valley and get your dancing shoes on. The next offering in their appreciation night series, and this Friday is firmly dedicated to Frank Ocean. With live acts and DJs playing all the tracks off of both Channel Orange and Blond, you’re sure to enjoy the sweet life as you get your groove on.

Head to one of the many Riverfire events around Brisbane, or simply pull up a picnic rug riverside at Southbank Parklands or Kangaroo Point to take in the epic fireworks display. The RAAF Super Hornets and Army helicopters will be out on display and the whole spectacular is set to music so bust a move while watching the Brisbane Festival go out with a bang.

KILCOY BBQ AND BEER FESTIVAL
If you want to escape the Brisbane Festival and Riverfire madness, head out of the city to Kilcoy for the BBQ and Beer Festival. http://kilcoyfestival.com.au/ Enjoy chainsaw wood carving, wood chopping and whip cracking showcases, and plenty of live music all while sampling some of the regions BBQ delights. You can even wash it all down with local craft beers and ciders. The kids can also stay entertained with piglet races, a jumping castle and an animal farm!

MISS MUDDY BRISBANE
Get fit, get dirty and have a laugh while you’re at it. Grab your gang and take on the five-kilometre obstacle course at Doomben Racecourse, perfect for any ladies over the age of 13 years. All profits from the event go to the McGrath Foundation so it’s all for a good cause!
