It’s time to let your trivia brilliance shine. Grab a group and head down to Victoria Park Golf Club at Herston and put your general knowledge to the test every Thursday from 7pm. While you’re there, enjoy the special menu at Victoria Park Bar & Bistro. We have to keep those minds fuelled right?

LUMINOUS LANTERN PARADE | FRI, JUN 9

It’s that time of year again. Time to welcome newcomers to Queensland in a celebration of multiculturalism. With so much turmoil in the world, this year’s lantern parade is a chance to celebrate how lucky we are. Eat, listen to music, and enjoy the spectacle from 6pm at South Bank Parklands.

THE FOOD TRUCK HUB ON CHESTER | FRI, JUN 9

Who else loves food trucks as much as we do? Head down to Chester Street, Fortitude Valley, from 6pm to 9pm for the regular Food Truck Hub. The trucks include King of the Wings, Mi Casa es Su Casa, Pizzantica, Ruby The Little Red Ice Cream Van, That BBQ Joint and The Bone Lorry. Wear something with elastic.

SHADOW LOUNGE FULL MOON PARTY | SAT, JUN 10

The full moon is upon us and it’s time to party. The Shadow Lounge on Eagle Street Pier is offering up their space for some serious full-moon partying. Treat yo’self to a two-hour food & bev package for $35! Get there early for a really good possie on the deck. You’ll want to see how beautiful the full moon looks from up there.

Head on up to Mt Cootha – Botanical Garden’s Auditorium this weekend for something succulent! Be surrounded by all things green and natural. Discover potted plants and so much more for all the green thumbs out there.

Didn’t make it to last year’s festivities? Him and Her Events is giving Brisbane an encore this year! ‘Hitched at The Brightside’ 2.0. Promising to be even better than last year! This event will be held at The Brightside in Fortitude Valley. Get ready for music, delicious food and a selection of Brisbane’s best wedding vendors. Here comes the bride…

SYDNEY CHORUSOZ | SUN, JUN 11

Get ready to sing your heart out! Join up to 1000 singers at the Sydney Opera House for choral work not to be missed. No particular skill level is needed to join in, so if you don’t usually sing outside the shower, don’t worry, get up there. The choir will sing Mendelssohn’s magnificent oratorio Elijah (in English).

TEA TASTING WORKSHOP | SUN, JUN 11

Tea-drinking is an activity that never fails to satisfy. Join other tea connoisseurs for a two-hour tea tasting at Mindful Origins, Redcliffe. Purchase a $35 ticket to sip from a wide range of teas and learn how to make the perfect cup. Oh, did we mention every attendee will receive a free 15g sample of their fave tea?

QUEENSLAND CABARET FESTIVAL 2017 | UNTIL JUN 15

Head down to the Brisbane Powerhouse for the Queensland Cabaret Festival 2017. With sinfully hilarious and soul-touching narratives, this year’s show won’t disappoint. For the first time the UK’s Tony-award-winning actor-author-singer Alan Cumming is gracing us with his cheeky presence. Don’t miss out! This is going to be good.

50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL PARODY | UNTIL AUG 28

Strap yourself in for an experience that will leave your cheeks wet and your sides sore: The Arts Theatre’s hilarious 50 Shades! The Musical Parody. You will laugh your ass off. Word of warning, though: Don’t go in with a full bladder. This musical is literally ‘wet your pants’ kinda funny.
