Sunset Cinema at Mt Cooth-tha | All Weekend

Grab your cosiest blanket and comfiest clothes and get ready to enjoy a night under the stars (and no, we’re not talking about camping). This is an outdoor experience of the romantic variety.
From now until April 7th, the Sunset Cinema at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens is mixing Oscar favourites (for all you quality film lovers) with blockbuster sci-fi’s, comedies, family favourites and a sprinkling of golden oldies for all you nostalgics (think: Dirty Dancing). Before you kick-back in front of the natural amphitheatre to watch the stars under the stars, why not grab dinner from cajun-inspired food truck The Dapper & Chic and some boutique wine from Madfish Wines or craft beer from 4 Pines Brewing Company? And for the sweet-tooths, there’s plenty of popcorn and treats on site too.

For a family affair, a picnic blanket will suffice, but if you’re trying to make an impression on a ‘special someone’ we’d recommend purchasing a Lawn Lounge ticket which will really give you the full experience (bean lounger included!).
