It’s time to meet ‘What’s Golden’, Brisbane’s newest intimate live music venue located in the Tivoli’s decadent central foyer. Brisbane is buzzing for cool music locations and What’s Golden delivers in spades. With a 250-person standing room capacity, it’s the perfect location specifically tailored for boutique music events to effortlessly compliment the legendary acts at the Tivoli.
The Tivoli has always upheld a bit of a legendary reputation as one of Brisbane’s go-to music venues, so the introduction of What’s Golden is a welcomed addition, helping The Tiv’ get back on centre stage. In true Tivoli style, their branding is on-point and set the tone of what’s to come – edgy, intimate music experiences.
Want to be the first to check out the new space? What’s Golden is holding a launch event on August 27, hosted by Pub Choir’s own Meg Bartholomew, featuring music by First Beige and Holiday Party. First Beige will bring about disco grooves, sweeping synths and vocal hooks to set the tone of the evening. Holiday Party will then follow-up, drawing influence from artists such as The Avalanches, Beach House and JDilla. House Party started off as a duo and has since flourished into a ‘collective’ with rotating live and writing members involved in the project, building on songs with homemade samples to create ‘junkyard pop’ music.
Tickets to the launch start at $22.70 and feature wine and canapes while guests have the opportunity to checkout the complete design overhaul which has created the sure to be iconic, What’s Golden.
