From the brainpower of those behind The Grass Is Greener, this is set to be a key player this festival season, on all fronts. Green in the name and their nature, Greener Pastures is aiming to become one of the most sustainable QLD festivals on show by stopping the use of plastic behind its gates. They’ll be implementing a recycling system while encouraging the use of reusable water bottles. Plus, they’ll be doing their bit to help raise funds for those recently affected by the bushfires by matching donations to The Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund when purchasing festival tickets.

The festival is looking local by supporting GC vendors to work alongside them to ensure efforts in waste and single-use plastic is reduced as much as possible.

After feeling as though the GC market has been underservicing the music scene, the festival came to fruition. Co-owner, Hugh Foster, said, “We’re really excited to launch this new festival on the Gold Coast. Gold Coasters have long been asking for more live music, that's why we're so excited to be bringing them Greener Pastures. To have secured The Spit's great waterfront location as its home is just a huge bonus.”

Stay-tuned for when tickets go on sale!
