The Battle for Women’s Cancer

The Battle for Women’s Cancer

Uniting people for support!

By Emmy-Lou McKean | 9th February 2017

The Cherish Women’s Foundation has issued a battle cry to the people of Brisbane ahead of their sixth annual signature fundraiser – The Battle.

The Battle unites people of all ages and will see teams from across Brisbane hit the sand for a friendly beach volleyball tournament on Friday, March 17 2017.

Hosted by Olympic Beach Volleyball gold medallist Natalie Cook, The Battle will help raise much-needed research funds to find more targeted, effective and less invasive treatments for gynaecological cancer sufferers.

With more than 5500 Australian women diagnosed with gynaecological cancer each year (1000 in Queensland alone), the grim reality is one in three women will not survive – and The Battle is for them.

Click here to register a team of five to eight players for The Battle. Teams must raise a minimum of $750 for Cherish, so there’s no better time to start! Then all that’s left is to get ready for an entertaining evening on the sand with a delicious BBQ and a celebratory drink after the games.
