In celebration of National Recycling Week, Recreate Fashion Show and Twilight Market is set to dazzle as a one-of-a-kind experience that marries the best of fashion and recycling in Brisbane.
The event is a recycling-themed fashion showcase presented by Brisbane City Council and VISY Recycling, celebrating Brisbane’s recycling efforts and initiatives. The showcase aims to inspire attendees to recycle more for a cleaner, greener city, while also encouraging guests to think about how they can reuse and recycle more at home.
The runway show will feature handmade couture by some of Brisbane’s most talented designers, such as Lucy-Belle Rayner, Sofia Moreno-Marcos and Connor O’Grady. Each designer has been tasked with crafting a special garment created from recyclable materials. This challenging theme is set to test the talents of local designers and is sure to leave us in awe of the possibilities of couture.
Brisbane is a city that lives and breathes its dedication to a clean and green lifestyle and Recreate celebrates what we have already achieved but is also a clever and creative way to get people thinking more about recycling. Make sure you take the time to stroll by the artisan market stalls, which will also be featured at the event, nibble at your choice of food trucks, listen to some live music and bask in awe of the unique runway fashions.
