As your not-so-little one gears up for their final years of high school, we know you want what’s best for them. Whether it’s harnessing their full potential or ensuring they’re part of a supportive school culture that’s looking out for them, we’ve found the Brisbane school that offers exactly that.
Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI) is a world-class learning environment that puts its students on the world’s door. The academically selective-entry high school paves the way for a bright future, teaching grit, optimism, resilience, growth mindset, engagement, and mindfulness.
But don’t take our word for it! Experience QACI first-hand at their 2022 Open Day on Saturday 21 May from 10am to 3pm. From campus tours through the state-of-the-art facilities and QACI experiences straight from the horse’s mouth with alumni and teachers on hand, you’ll be sure to see why applying for their internationally-recognised IB curriculum is a huge step in the right direction.
Or, if you fancy yourself a hands-on learner, QACI will be hosting workshops throughout the day for prospective students to hone their skills and see what the fuss is all about. Thespians can practice improvisation upon a French stage, while filmmakers will deconstruct movie trailers before making their own. Dancers will get their olé on as they learn Hispanic moves, musicians will create a catchy ad jingle, and designers will uncover the beauty of maths as they master the golden ratio. There’s even a workshop under the microscope to create a hybrid-layered artwork inspired by unseen nature. Um, can we sign up?
The workshops are $10 each, which includes lunch. With applications to QACI open until 3 June, make sure you clear your calendar – it’s an opportunity that can’t be missed.
