Everything You Need To Know About The Pop-Up Cinema That Has Landed In The CBD

This is game-changing.

In case you haven’t heard the positively thrilling news, Brisbane just levelled-up thanks to the announcement of a month-long outdoor cinema setting-up in Post Office Square.

Taking over our Wednesday evenings for the next few weeks, the outdoor cinema will take place under the stars and screen a selection of iconic and lovable romantic-comedies.

The flicks include options to suit everyone’s taste, from Crazy, Stupid, Love (with our #1 celeb crush, Ryan Gosling) to Home Again (Reece Witherspoon can do no wrong). Whether it’s a date night or just a casual evening with friends, these light-hearted movies are the perfect chance to bond and relax.

When it comes to bites, no cinema experience would be complete without delicious snacks. Forget about stale popcorn, the eats at this sunset cinema are so much more tempting! New-kid-on-the-block Isles Lane has all the catering taken care of and will have a special $15 grazing-box-for-2 available for purchase. With all the snacks you could want (such as pear, rocket & walnut salad, cheese, cold meats, crackers and cherry & chocolate brownies!) it’s the perfect addition to your night. Arrive early to pick up your box (as well as a drink or two – rosé anyone?) and take advantage of one of the picnic rugs available.

Oh, and did we mention that it’s free?! Even if you have champagne tastes on a beer budget, with attendance completely free and budget-friendly nibbles & drinks, this is an affordable date night that won’t break the bank!

Rom Coms & Nom Noms will be taking place every Wednesday evening during May, between 5-9pm in Post Office Square.

When she's not at the beach, she can be spotted lusting after makeup she can't afford, re-watching The Office (the US version, obviously) or annoying her friends with her insane astrology theories (she's an Aquarius, FYI).
