It’s the wedding of the year, and it’s coming to Brisbane this September: Muriel’s Wedding The Musical! After being one of the most loved and laughed over Aussie films of all time, it’s been transported to a life on stage in a big, brash, and boisterous new musical.

Written by PJ Hogan and directed by Simon Phillips, Muriel’s Wedding the Musical is a multi-award winning show that will play a strictly limited season at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC from September 19th. Tickets went on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 4th at 9am, and they’re certain to be a sell-out – so get in quick!

Muriel is undateable, unemployable, and unstoppable, and she’s stuck in a dead-end life in Porpoise Spit, where she dreams of the perfect wedding… with no groom in sight. Following her dreams to Sydney, Muriel ends up with more than she ever imagined, and this is your chance to join her on the opportunity of a lifetime!

The reviews so far have already been raving, with Sydney Morning Herald stating it’s cheeky, smart and big hearted, and Time Out coining it ‘The Best Australian musical to premiere in years.” With an incredible soundtrack of new hits by Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall combined with all your favourite throwback ABBA hits, we’re hardly surprised that it’s being talked about as the musical you can’t miss!

Book your tickets here to the wedding of the year.
