With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s important to remember that this day of celebration can be a challenging and sad time for some people. Those who are not fortunate enough to have their mum around to spend the day with them can feel isolated, lonely and in need of support. Thankfully, there is an organisation that helps Australian women without mothers feel a sense of belonging and comfort during these trying times.

Motherless Daughters Australia is the not for profit organisation that was founded to help those, who have lost their mum, through difficult times. The not for profit organisation connects motherless daughters together through a supportive online platform, plus events and functions, to help new friendships blossom.

While Motherless Daughters is there to support women during their daily life and important milestones, receiving comfort around sensitive times like Mother’s Day can be extra therapeutic. This year, Motherless Daughters will be hosting a series of High Tea events across the country – and they’re stopping by Brisbane! On Sunday April 28, a special High Tea event will be taking place at Mantra Richmont Hotel in Spring Hill. From 12-2pm, attendees will have the chance to indulge in delicious food and champagne and engage in some awesome conversation while honouring their mums in an uplifting and special way.
