Who could forget the scene in Sex and The City season three where Carrie Bradshaw lost her Jimmy Choo shoes on the Staten Island Ferry. The episode made designer brand Jimmy Choo a household name, and fashion fiends have been lining up to get their hands (or feet, rather) on the designer shoes ever since.
Mention “Jimmy Choo” and elegant, exquisitely crafted shoes immediately come to mind.
Famous for his pumps and stilettos, worn on the soles of celebrities for decades, the designer brand Jimmy Choo is one of the most celebrated and recognisable names in fashion globally. And now, Professor Jimmy Choo has set his sights on Brisbane. TAFE Queensland is bringing the designer to the River City in what will be his first visit to Queensland, and meeting him is not out of reach.
The world-renowned shoe craftsman will touch down in Brisbane for four days at the end of September to share his passion and knowledge of couture shoes with TAFE Queensland fashion students and Brisbane fashion lovers alike.
That means you, Style readers.
Jimmy Choo will be the guest of honour at four TAFE Quensland events over the four days, three of which will be ticketed for fashion lovers to attend.
Throughout the series, you’ll have the chance to hear from the man himself, as well as key minds from the worlds of retail and fashion, including representatives from Westfield and Cue.
Limited spaces are available for each event, so act quickly to secure your space. Wear your best shoes, obviously.
