While there are many things we love about sunny Queensland, one of our favourite things has got to be our range of delicious fresh produce! In celebration of our regional produce and creative culture, the Hampton Festival showcases some of Queensland’s best growers and artists. This year, the annual Hampton Festival will be held on Sunday May 19, so prepare yourself for some flavour extravaganzas and plenty of stellar entertainment. Held North of Toowoomba at Chapman Park, we guarantee you this festival will be worth the road trip!
We bet you’re wondering about all the details, so here’s a taste of what you can expect on the day.

Featuring at this year’s festival will be, of course, plenty of delicious foodie offerings. Expect to see a produce market, over 70 market stalls and a range of food and wine exhibitors. Insightful food conversations with expert presenters are also on the itinerary, so get ready to learn about everything from artisan cheese making to eating sustainably and growing a vegetable garden.
While the festival is in its 17th year, for the first time ever, a new and exciting produce precinct will be making an appearance. ‘Growers on the Green’ will be an activation that showcases the work of local farmers and producers. This year’s new addition will allow you to interact with these local growers and even shop their fresh produce direct from the source. Talk about knowing where your food came from!

On top of all the exquisite food offerings, you’ll be entertained all day long with plenty of live music and art on display. Buskers and bands will be gracing the live music stage, there will be an art exhibition on site, live art demonstrations and a themed sand sculpture will be progressive built across the day by sand artist Steve Machell.
Make sure you stop by Growers on the Green to meet regional growers, discover how their produce is cultivated and join their conversations about a range of topics throughout the day.
A highlight of the Festival is the onsite fresh produce market which will be bursting full of locally grown fruit, vegetables and leafy greens. Stock up on avocadoes, persimmons, rhubarb, blueberries, honey and more!
