Get Social with Food in July

From workshops and themed trivia nights to a high tea for charity, there's something for everyone!

By Candice Jackson | 6th July 2016

Food is a MAJOR part of our social life. From chatting over dinner and meeting new people over drinks to sharing the love with friends on our social media channels, we just can’t get enough!

Thanks to Brisbane tickets, these events are a great start to get your foodie and social fix this month. Rain, hail or shine, girls (and boys) gotta eat, drink and be merry.

Fermenting & Gut Health Workshop

Fermented foods can help you to overcome some of the common ailments of modern day living, including fatigue, arthritis, reflux and sleeplessness. This workshop will help you learn everyday techniques and recipes to incorporate into your lifestyle. If you like kombucha and sauerkraut, you’ll be interested to find out more about gut health and sample the delicious recipes from guest author Dr Sarah Lantz.

Single Friends Pizza and Pinot Night

Join Single Friends (guests over 35 years only) for Brisbane's best pizza and a Peroni or Pinot. This event is the perfect opportunity to network with like-minded singles over delicious Italian pizza and a glass of Pinot or bottle of Peroni on arrival.

Harry Potter Trivia Night

If you haven’t read the Harry Potter books or at least seen the films from the epic franchise, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! OK, you probably have your reasons. But seriously. For everyone else who HAS done the required reading/viewing, do you remember what the antidote to Basilisk venom was? Or what the crest of Ravenclaw house is? Or the name of the ghost that haunts the girls’ bathroom?

It’s time to brush up on the movies (marathon, anyone?), re-read the books and come up with an awesome team name. Only you can’t have You’re a Quizard, Harry, because that name is already taken. (By us.) (Sorry, not sorry.)

Pig’N’Whistle Riverside: 123 Eagle St, Brisbane
July 31, 5.30pm to 10.30pm | $10pp
Buy your tickets here!

Broncos Fillies High Tea for Charity

A sell-out EVERY year, this event is not to be missed! Join the Brisbane Broncos Fillies for a delightful afternoon of high tea and entertainment to support the Brisbane Broncos Charities Fund. Enjoy the frivolity of wine tasting, raffles, games and prizes while hearing from an impressive line-up of amazing women.
