Jogging your brain for excuses is definitely easier than jogging itself. If you’re a gold medallist when it comes to making excuses not to exercise, then shot put that out the window thanks to Medibank’s new program that will have you feeling good, for free. Let’s swap the wintery hibernation of Netflix and chill for a spring yoga and drill.
The Medibank Feel Good Program lets you make the most of the sunny weather with a series of free outdoor fitness classes, held across South Bank and the City from September 30 to November 30. Working out? Enjoyable? Impossible you may say, but the program has been designed to suit all fitness levels, with classes ranging from low impact to high energy, so there’s something for everyone. No bookings are required – all you have to do is show up in the athletic wear that you’ve probably been using as leisurewear and join in on the fun. Did we mention it’s free? The excuses can wait.
All classes are held at either South Bank Parklands or Queens Gardens and hosted by Goodlife Health Club trainers. Get your body moving to Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, Zumba, Aqua Aerobics, Tai Chai, Ballroom Dancing and heaps more activities that will get your sweat on and have your heart beating to be a happier and healthier you! Keep an eye on the Southbank Facebook here and Brisbane City’s Facebook here just in case the weather decides to be a buzz kill.
In between all the moving and grooving, tune into a ‘wellness talk’, where certified practitioners and industry leaders share their knowledge and tips on all things health! Talks are held fortnightly on Saturday morning at Flowstate, South Bank.
Make sure to bring along a water bottle, a towel, and a yoga mat where required if you have one. Medibank will handle the rest, so the only excuse you’ll be making is when your happily aching muscles refuse to take the stairs.
