With Beer InCider 2019 just around the corner, the time is nigh to start eyeing off what eats and drinks will be up for tasting! Founder of the festival and beer enthusiast, Marty Keetels has laid down the groundwork for the best food and beer pairings available at the fest to satisfy any party goer.

It really is a fest with the best.

For the cheese lover

Mac From Way Back’s OG Mac n Cheese x Philter Beer Seattle

The easy drinking lager – a collaboration beer with Philter, Dear Seattle and Beer InCider – will certainly cut through the rich, oozy, cheesy goodness of anything on the menu at Mac From Way Back. But we can’t go past the OG Mac n Cheese and Mac n Cheese Balls – they will sell out.

For the traditionalist

Brat Haus x  Felons Lager

If you’re a bit of a traditionalist and love the idea of a hot dog and a good lager, we won’t deny you. A double smoked traditional Brat Haus hotdog with a Felons Lager – we’re looking at you.

For the vegan

Hellmouth Diner x Fixation IPA

We think burgers and beers are best friends, especially when they’re both vegan. But who’s asking? Sink your teeth into a big juicy Hellmouth Diner Cheeseburger and follow it up with a sip of Fixation’s IPA which is hopped at every stage with Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra and Amarillo hops for an exquisitely balanced bevvie.

For the sweet tooth

New York Waffles x Sea Legs Brewing Co Milk Stout

Desserts is stressed spelled backwards. Leave your stress at the gate when you enter Beer InCider and find your happy place at New York Waffles. We recommend the Dessert Waffles with a smooth-as Sea Legs Milk Stout which features oats, roasted malt and lactose for almost a coffee-like mouth feel.

For the BBQ lover

Hoy Pinoy’s BBQ chicken or pork skewers x Aether Brewing Mango Sticky Rice Hazy IPA

One of the festival’s Exclu-Brews, Aether Brewing’s Mango Sticky Rice Hazy IPA is sure to turn heads and excite taste buds. We’re going to pair it with some Filipino-style BBQ to round out the experience.

For the festive type

Zicatela x Slipstream Sip Suck Gose

Arriba arriba! Tuck into some chimichangas, quesadillas or nachos from Zicatela and add a pot of Slipstream’s Exclu- Brew, Sip Suck Gose for a true fiesta! The Sip Suck Gose contains agave syrup and comes served with a lemon wedge.

For the meat eater

Charred x Newstead Out & A Bout Pale Ale

Tuck into a delicious baguette filled with Champion wagyu and smokey BBQ sauce from Charred, a classic Out & A Bout pale ale from Newstead and you’ve got yourself on fair dinkum lunch. Only two hands needed.

For snack time

Charlee’s Nuts x Balter Captain Sensible

For a quick and light snack on the go, between sets or while heading to the Brewer’s Stage, grab a cone or box of salted nuts from Charlee’s Nuts and team with a tinnie of Balter’s Captain Sensible; as the name suggests, a sensible mid- strength beer of just 3.5%.

For the flavourful

Samba Catering x Brouhaha Strawberry Rhubarb Sour

Two tickets to flavour town! There’s something about steaming fresh paella served straight from a gigantic paella pan. Choose from Samba’s infamous Chicken & Chorizo or Mixed Mushroom paella and pair with a fruity Strawberry Rhubarb Sour from Brouhaha Brewery.

For the fancy and fresh

Bao Brothers x Stone & Wood The Gatherer

It’s the new draught beer everyone’s been talking about...and now it’s in tins at Beer InCider! Slip into summer with Stone & Wood’s watermelon, mint and cucumber inspired The Gatherer and team with the fresh flavours of a couple of baos from Bao Brothers.

Mr Keetels, you’ve nailed it.
