Basik's Epic Chocolate Degustation Has Us Tickled Pink

Dubbed Brisbane’s very own Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory experience, Secrets by BASIK has teamed up with Woolloongabba’s secret hideaway, Jack Rabbits Whiskey Bar (hidden in a secret location in Electric Avenue) to host a delicious new instalment of their multi-sensory chocolate degustation series, this time celebrating their new selection of world-renowned Ruby Chocolate. If you have a sweet tooth then you need to treat yourself to this epically indulgent and drool-worthy dining experience.

Chocolatier and founder of BASIK Krsna Rajalingam started his artisan journey in 2017 when he discovered his love of experimenting ingredients to create the perfect dessert with no bounds. With this being his fourth event, Krsna has pulled out all the stops, introducing an ‘Omakase’ concept which will see guests leave their fate in his hands as he chooses which delicious flavour curve to surprise them with, as well as adding a dinner service.

The guest of honour (other than you, of course) is Ruby Chocolate. Krsna explains, "The recipe for Ruby Chocolate is a well-guarded trade secret which offers a sweet set sour take of the traditional chocolate flavour. I’m sure our guests will be tickled pink with the selection on offer and will revel in the opportunity to try such a unique flavour."

The evening will also include four perfectly-paired alcoholic drinks, which Jack Rabbits Whisky Bar has carefully curated specifically for the event.

"I have been lucky enough to be able to work with the Jack Rabbits team, conjuring up all sorts of alcoholic pairings, from wines to whiskeys, rums, liqueurs and even Sambuca. They have been outstanding in accommodating my vision for Secrets by BASIK."
