Pilloni Restaurant Marks Three Years With an Intimate Dinner
The Sardinian Way
By Kiri Johnston | 3rd March 2026West End’s well-regarded Pilloni Restaurant marked three years on Hardgrave Road with an intimate gathering of friends, collaborators and long-time supporters. The evening also coincided with the launch of style’s Issue 01, unfolding across a long table set with seasonal dishes and curated wine pairings.
Hosted by co-owners Valentina Vigni and Andrea Contin alongside style Editor + Creative Director Kiri Johnston, the dinner reflected Pilloni’s approach to regional Italian cooking, grounded in Sardinian tradition and shaped by fresh, local produce.
On the evening, the conversation flowed as steadily as the plates moving from kitchen to table, each course thoughtfully paired. Aperitivo gave way to shared dishes and organic wine, as the room settled into that familiar dinner hum.
In attendance were Barbara Albert of Alkot Studio, Louis Tikaram of Stanley Restaurant, Michael & Kim from Thai Hoa Asian Grocer, Sophia Klemenz-Ghanem of Klemenza, Tracy Sinclair, founder of STYLE MEDIA, and food voices including Bianca Eats, Brisbane Food & Travel Adventure and Cyan Social. Designers, chefs and founders sat side by side, marking both a milestone for the restaurant and the beginning of a new chapter for the magazine.
An evening shaped by good company, conversation and food that brought the table together.
Three years on, Pilloni remains a fixture within West End and the broader dining scene. With Issue 01 now in circulation, style steps forward into its next phase. Read Andrea and Valentina’s story on page 50 of Issue 01, now available at select locations and online.
